Jon Forrest

Jon Forrest is a specialist in effective communication, relationship management, customer service and sales and marketing, whose professional career has been anything but typical. Jon’s background includes 20 years in service and retail jobs as well as owning his own manufacturing company, which produced high-tech mountain bike components and clothing, for five years. He also performed a tour of duty with the U.S. Air Force, serving at Bitburg Airbase in Germany as an aircraft armament systems specialist working on F-15’s.

Through all of these experiences, Jon found that what really drove him was helping people he worked with, or who worked for him, discover and live more effective lives, both personally and professionally. As a result, he went back to school at age 38 to earn a degree in Human Resource Management and began a new career in coaching and training.

In addition to a lifetime of study and training in the field of human behavior and transformational technology, Jon’s experience with Dale Carnegie Training, California State Funded Training Programs, and as the founder of iCAN international, an Irvine-based business performance improvement consultancy, enables him to develop seminar, training and coaching programs to improve the performance and productivity of all types and sizes of companies. His client list includes local and international companies in a variety of industries, including WATG, Neutrogena, Cisco-Linksys, Van Group, UGMC, Labeltronix, and Packaging Advantage Corp.

After more than eight years of working with people at all levels and in multiple countries and industries, Jon has developed a keen sense for detecting the core issues that stand in the way of creating “A Great Place to Work” in any organization. He provides swift, practical solutions in a no-nonsense delivery style that ensures a high level of traction and sustainability in any type of business environment. His style of coaching and mentoring, both individually and in groups, coupled with his infectious, upbeat personality, helps people have the buy-in and confidence to apply new skills to the task at hand, and to realize immediate performance improvements. Jon is the author of the book Stay CALM – Verbal Aikido Turns Arguments into Agreements.
